Few days back I accidentally dropped my beloved N82 on a wet floor, and I’m pretty sure some water already went inside. I was like “OMFG this can’t be happening!!!” ..

I’m still paying the installment for this phone mind you. Of course la I freaked out. Haha. It was bloody expensive when it first went out which cost me around 2.2k back then. Sure will burn a pretty big holes in anyone wallet (in my case its my credit card. haha).

Well anyway, after 10 minutes of freaking out trying to blow dry the internal part with my mum’s hair dryer, the phone turned on fine. But it shut down and turn back on for a few minutes. I turned if off and leave it there for about an hour.

Tried turning it on again, seems to work fine. Camera? Checked!, Music? Sweet and Clear!, Sms? Works okay.

But then when I try to make a call, my earpiece sound so bad, like cracking and distorted. I had to use the loudspeaker mode to make calls. I’m positive that the earpiece was broken somehow masuk air or something.Very inconvenience la if I wanna make call in public, don’t want to make call walkie-talkie style. Malu lah wei!

I’m actually thinking of sending this phone to the Nokia Service Center, but I’ve read somewhere that water damage was not covered by the warranty and yes the phone have an indicator to see if  the internal part got contact with any sort of liquid. Shit now I can’t lie to them anymore since that indicator clearly shows my phone got contact with water. Stupid indicator!

Did some searching to see if I can D.I.Y this myself and found this!!

It says that you can try to suck and blow the earpiece to fix the problem and that’s exactly what I did.  Haha.

I had to suck and blow the earpiece hole several times. I look so bloody stupid doing that but now the sound from the earpiece getting better. Maybe I’ll do some more sucking and blowing later since I’m at work now.

Sorry no photo coz usually I took photo with the phone but now the phone sick how ar?.. haha.

gTalk Joy Skin

Aku baru tau yang kite bole pakai skin/theme lain untuk gTalk selain dari yang default dier kasi.. and rasenye nak wat skin baru pun tak susah sangat sebab die pakai html/css je. Well anyway, thats my new gTalk skin aku jumpe kat tenet.

It’s really simple actually. Google for “Gtalk Theme” and pick whatever skin you found on the the website. Should have a lot to choose from. I found the Joy skin very simple and nice so I’m using those for now.

Go to

C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/Local Settings/Application Data/Google/Google Talk/themes/system/chat

and paste the unzipped files there.

Fire up gTalk > Setting > Appearance > Chat Theme and pick the new theme you’ve just added.

Cool? Haha.

Ni lagi satu tips aku jumpe, gTalk bole display current music track yang kite tengah pasang kat Winamp/Media Player tapi by default bile kite set mende tu biasanye gTalk akan freeze and even lepas restart gTalk pun dier akan freeze gak.

Solution dier simple je aku jumpe kat site ni, p kat folder Winamp tu (biasanye C:Program FilesWinamp) and wat new text document. Rename file tadi jadi winamp.m3u. Tak pun terus rename je file whatsnew.txt tu jadi Terus okay.. aku pun tatau logicnye cane bole ok. Haha.

Or you could just rename whatsnew.txt. Taya wat file baru, thats what I did anyway.

Soundblaster XFi + Edifier DA5000

Ngee.. baru bole wat wayang lam bilik. Hahaha. Actually kalau nak compare ngan speaker branded cam Logitech/Altec/Creative with similar price range memang ni lagi sedap. Unless we’re talking about the Logitech flagship 5.1 speaker, the Z-5500D

Oh btw aku sudah abis main Price of Persia in 2 days. Gameplay dier sangat simple tapi die punye arts and graphic and scenery tu yang buat aku kagum. Neh credit bukti dah abis main. Wakaka. (Tips: Sesape main game ni lepas kredit tu bole sambung main lagi sket)

Prince of Persia

Game ni tade kaitan ngan game Prince of Persia sebelum ni cam The Sand of Time sume tu. Ni lain eventhough developer dier (Ubisoft) same. And graphic dier pun gune technology cell-shaded untuk render character. Nampak cam animation plak. You’ll need a pretty decent system to play this game, otherwise you’ll get a very low frame rate and pastu pening lalu muntah. Sebab game die memang banyak fast moving action.

The actual game look much nicer than the screenshot anyway. Hopefully ade nomber 2, tak puas ar main kejab sgt. Haih
