It’s Desirable
Okay, finally ade mase sket nak update. Busy sket ‘molesting’ my new phone. Lol.
So there u go, stock HTC Desire running on Android 2.1 with HTC Sense.
So what now? Aku pun tatau, banyak lagi nak explore, banyak lagi apps nak try, banyak lagi mende nak buat pakai phone ni.
Huhu. If you’re planning to get this phone, beli yang sekali package ngan data plan since it is more cost effective in the long run and you’ll get a RM600 discount from Maxis too. Trust me you need the data plan to fully utilize the features of this phone.
No phone is ever perfect, so here’s some minor inconvenience that you might want to consider
- Battery Life – it gets better after a while but you’ll need to charge the phone at least once every 2 days. I don’t really care about that since I usually charge my phone every night and I got a compatible Nokia car charger to charge the phone if I’m going anywhere.
- The touch screen might be super sensitive to some people, get a screen protector to reduce it.
- The camera sucks ass. Seriously. If you plan to use the phone mainly for photos and video, get the Nokia N8 instead. Not a bad phone, only downside is the Symbian operating system.
- The speaker is a little soft compared to my N86. Even at the loudest volume setting.
- There’s a slight pinkish tint on the display when looking over a gray-scale images. I never actually bothered by it since it’s not that obvious.
So there you go, I know there’s a whole bunch of other minor imperfection posted on the XDA forum but those never really bother me for daily uses.

So ni beli from Maxis, via postpaid plan tu eh? Kalau prepaid, beli ikut harga RRP, still ada data plan tak?

Beli from Maxis + data plan. Since aku memang postpaid user Maxis, just attach data plan to my existing value plan.. xde data plan pun tape, tapi cam rugi la since xleh nak fully ultilised this phone nyer networking features but it;s up to u.
Nape x nak amek data plan? dapat discount RM600 dari retail price.

em, nak tu nak… tapi sayang no. prepaid ni
pakai postpaid plan mana satu ye?
July 16th, 2010 at 10:39 am
eh jap, kat belakang phone tu memang ada ‘with Google’ tu eh?
July 17th, 2010 at 1:20 pm
Yep. For SEA market ade with Google. Huhu. I think its cool. Huhu.

Ko cek kat website maxis for pricing details. Tapi cheapest is 98 monthly (data + call) plan. Bole convert prepaid tu ke postpaid so bole retain nombo. Huhu.

sayang nak tukar prepaid ke postpaid.. haha, takpela tengok dulu cane.. thanks eh

satu je touchscreen yang aku tak bape nak berkenan, sangat superb sensitip.. huhuhu… aku testing2 orang tu punya touch screen phone, rasa macam nak makan je sbb asyik macam tak lulus je nak guna touch screen. ahahah..
orang yang penyabar, better angkat touch screen ah. panas baran cam aku kat winter, mcm fikir banyak kali untuk ada phone touchscreen kah kah.
tapi kan, aku rasa macam jelesz plak ngan ko, ngan abg kandung aku, pakai HTC. aku pernah tanya abg aku, apsal tak guna yang ada wireless…? dia cakap, “malas, nanti otak asyik berjalan je kat mana-mana pun, sbb kerja2 masuk ke dlm email, bila bleh guna wireless, sure nanti gatai tangan nak check email, kan”
tapi seriously, aku teringin pakai HTC. huuu…
ada nasihatkah dari pemegang HTC? ko dari dulu pakai HTC kan kan?

Bole retain ur prepaid number what. Huhu. Kalau spend 50 per month on prepaid, better pakai postpaid je. Tapi kene pandai control la. Huhu.
July 20th, 2010 at 11:49 am
eh eh, kalau retain prepaid tak dapatla diskaun tu.. hehe..

@fath, rasenye bole.. sbb i pun x beli postpaid baru. Just pakai account lame then attach data plan yang 48/monthly tu. Dapat je discount. Huhu. Call maxis to confirm, tapi I’m pretty sure u can get the discount. Xyah nak beli value plan baru.
@bear, tade mood la nak mengupdate.. sigh
July 24th, 2010 at 8:44 am
hah? data plan? apa kegunaannya tu?
July 24th, 2010 at 10:21 am
@ikoko: Untuk push notifications rasanya kak.
July 27th, 2010 at 12:50 am
@ikoko, sorry comment ko masuk ‘Spam’ lak. Panjang sgt kot.. Huhu. Okay ni pendapat aku pasal touch-screen.
Ko bole kurangkan sensitivi dier kalo ko pakai screen protector jenis ‘matte’ – basically cam ade texture sket kat screen tu. Tapi downside dier screen ko tak cantik sgt la sbb tak clear.
Pasal wireless tu mmg penting, maksud ko data plan la kan? Bukan WiFi? huhu.
Bukan nak check email je, byk lagi bole buat kalo ade data plan. Ko pegi tepi pantai, bole snap gamba straight upload kat facebook/blog. Ko kuar g makan2, bole snap gamba terus upload kat blog ko. Ko tension ngan someone, terus post status kat tweeter. Haha.
Xyah tunggu balik umah. Sbb da balik, jadi malas nak transfer2 gamba. Huhu.
Tu baru sket la.. byk lagi ko bole buat kalau ade data plan. Thats why kalo amek smartphone (Android,
iCrapiPhone, Window Mobile, BlackBerry) sume kene ade data plan. Otherwise better pakai phone biasa biasa cam Nokia or SE yang lame2 tu.Ni first HTC aku actually, before this aku pakai Nokia N86.
Actually ko nak angkat ape? Huhu. HTC ade android and windows mobile. Yang aku amek HTC Desire ni pakai android. Tak suke la windows mobile. Aku tak sure la abg ko pakai HTC ape.
Byk lagi pilihan kalau ko nak amek android based phone, Sony ade, Samsung ade, Motorola ade, HTC ade.. so ikut mane yang ko berkenan la. Interface je lain2, tapi OS dalam sume run android.
@Fath, yep mostly for push notification cam email and stuff. Ikoko, basically phone tu akan sentiasa connected. Cume sakit kat battery je la. Haha.
wah gile panjang komen.

haha. aku ter post 2 kali ah.. jadi duplicate. ingatkan lom masuk lagik komen tuh. haha…
